Matthew Smaglik is a filmmaker, producer, and writer based in New York City. Member of the Television Academy and PGA.
In television, he most recently story-produced Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War for Netflix and co-executive produced Liberty or Death: Boston Tea Party with Rob Lowe.
Previously, he wrote and story produced Titans: Rise of Wall Street, Icons That Built America, and Cars That Built the World for History. Matthew has worked on over ten series with: Stephen David Entertainment, Left Right, Blackfin, Six West, Warm Springs, and Magilla.
In features, he co-produced Thirst Street which premiered in the 2017 US Narrative Competition at Tribeca with distribution by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Matthew got his start in features with Dogfish Pictures where he co-produced Diverge. He went on to produce Noble Earth, Sweet Parents, and Senior Love Triangle.
With an interest in international stories and co-productions, Matthew has participated in several prestigious programs including IFP Film Week, the Trans Atlantic Partners program, the Frontières Film Financing Forum in Amsterdam and presented at the Frontières Platform at the Marche Du Film in Cannes.
